Snoqualmie Falls is Washington state’s one of the most popular scenic attractions. It is a 268ft waterfall on the Snoqualmie River. It is located between Snoqualmie and Fall City, Washington. We stay at Bellevue and its just 30-35 minutes’ drive from our place. It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls I have seen in Washington. I suggest that it is a must see for the visitors in Seattle.

We visited it in the month of June. We parked our car at the parking area and took a short walk to the overview area. The waterfall is at its best during late spring till summer. It looks more voluminous this time of the year. But you would also love to see the frozen Snoqualmie Falls in winter. Basically it’s a picturesque scenery throughout the year. There is an observation deck which is open from dawn till dusk every day. One can take great pictures from the deck. The roaring sound of the falls is quite hypnotizing. The frothing white falls is so mesmerizing that you would love to stare at it for hours. You can also take a short trail to the base of the falls. It will be lot more fun and refreshing when the mist from the falls blows upon your face.

The park there is a good area for recreation. There is a covered picnic area with many tables around. There is a beautiful lodge and restaurant too. The gift shop has a heap of collection with pretty souvenirs. It is a great place for a shorter outing. It is free and so if it is on your way it is worth stopping there. It’s a great place and I recommend it to all residents and visitors in Seattle.

We celebrated our daughter Shriya's 3rd birthday at Seattle Children's museum this year. We had booked the Jungle Room  as we decided to do a Jungle theme Party for her. We visited the museum for the 1st time and had real fun! Party Hours: 1-3pm.  Even though we get the party room for 2 hours, the admission to the museum is open all day, ie 10 am to 5 pm. Some of the kids came in early to play and some stayed late till 5pm. Invitees: We were allowed to invite 40 people as per the capacity of the jungle room. I have invited all her class mates and their parents. We had a party of around 30 people for the birthday celebration. Outback Kangaroo Farm, Arlington

I have seen Kangaroos and Wallaby's at Zoos so far. This was my first time experience with petting them and it really awesome experience for us. Apart from the Kangaroos and Wallaby, the farm has Emu, Lemurs, Llamas, alpacas, Donkey, goats, Miniature horse, peacock, roosters and chickens. The beautiful peacocks and chickens were roaming around the picnic area. The kids were having real fun watching them and eating their food. They have guided tours 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm for 45minutes each. They charge $12 per person. We took the 2pm tour and I assume its the busiest one. The tour was fun and also educational, where they talk about the different animals and we get know interesting facts about them. They have a lot of kangaroos and wallabys. An evening at Tacoma -2

Washington State History Museum   The history museum is full of informative displays and artifacts on the history of Washington. Again we got free admission to it because it was a third Thursday. The interactive exhibits displayed there are interesting both for children and adults. There were various themes which included geology, geography, industry, ethnicity, exploration, development & commerce in Washington State. The History museum is fascinating and there is plenty to see and learn. It highlighted much of the local industrial history, as well as history of the native people. I especially liked the tree whose branches were wagons, chairs, toys, door, and other items that are crafted from wood. Upstairs they have a nice model train display and had a transient bike show which is exceptional. It’s very good for kids and student. They have a good gift shop too.
